The Immaculate Reception is one of the most famous plays in NFL history. The legendary play occurred in the AFC Divisional playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders December 23, 1972 at Three Rivers Stadium. With the Steelers trailing in the last 30 seconds of the game, Steeler Quarterback Terry Bradshaw threw a pass attempt to John Fuqua. Remarkably, the ball either bounced off the helmet of Raiders safety Jack Tatum or off the hands of Fuqua. As the ball fell, Steelers fullback Franco Harris caught it just before it could hit the ground and ran for a game-winning touchdown.
